
Professional Career
Björn Hessert joined our firm in 2025. Prior to that, Björn worked for several years as Counsel at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne.
Björn graduated from the University of Freiburg. He also holds a master’s degree from the University of Melbourne and a doctoral degree from the University of Zurich. Björn regularly publishes in the field of sports law and is a lecturer at universities in Switzerland and internationally.
Areas of Expertise
Björn is particularly specialised in sports-related matters. His main focus is on advising clients in national and international sports law, including matters related to contract law, association law and disciplinary proceedings, such as doping and safeguarding. He also represents clients in proceedings before sports association tribunals and sports arbitral tribunals, including the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), as well as in commercial arbitration and civil proceedings.
